PPD Challenge #10

In my last purchase, I bought BBII. I love it! I opted for only one of the dies, but I'm sooo gonna get the other ones too! The border punch is a new purchase, too! Shoot, it was 30% off, I couldn't resist it! LOL.

Anyway, this is my attempt at the newest challenge at the Papertrey Paper Dolls blog. I didn't have any real scallops, so this'll have to do. =( I guess I need to make another purchase. Let the twisting of arms commence!

sunshine card

Our school swap group decided that in order to keep the mojo going, we'd do one over the summer. I have to admit, while I thought that summer would bring tons of time and creativity, it definitely has not! LOL.

The ideer for this swap was to use black and white and ONE other color. I'm not very happy with the card, but I do love All About You and Summer Sunrise!

Card Deets: (All supplies PTI unless otherwise noted)
Stamps: All About you, Fillable Frames #3 and #4
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Summer Sunrise
Paper: Stamper's Select White
Other: True Black buttons, rhinestones(?)

FIL Father's Day Card

My FIL lives in Colorado (which is where my husband and I met) and he recently bought a new mini cooper like the one seen here...

Sooo...since I had some PTI "Enjoy the Ride" stamped images kicking around (Thank you, Deena) I decided to try to make it look somewhat like my FIL's new car. Here's how it came out.
And...while going through some pictures, I found one of me and the hubby waving goodbye from the inside of a car. YAY (fist in the air pump and said in my best SNL Target lady voice)! It fit perfectly. LOL.

Card Deets: All supplies PTI unless noted...
Stamps: Enjoy the Ride, FF#4 sentiments, A Little Argyle
Ink: Hawaiian Shores, Fresh Snow, Mediterrean Blue (Tsukineko)
Paper: Kraft, Hawaiian Shores, Stamper's Select White, True Black, Dotti Biscotti pattern paper

Father's Day Card

Here's the card I made for my pops for Father's Day. I may have mentioned the big clean-up at my grandma's house recently. Here's another picture I found. It's of my 2 brothers and me when we were still living in Washington.

I had such a difficult time with this. I didn't know how I wanted to incorporate the picture, and since my dad doesn't really have hobbies, I didn't know what to else to put on the card!

Card Deets:

Stamps: ocean stamp (WhipperSnapper Designs), Dot Spot and FF #4 (PTI)

Ink: Marigold (Colorbox), Tuxedo Black (Memento), Orange Zest (PTI)

Paper: Hawaiian Shores and Stamper's Select White (PTI)

Other: Die-namics cloud die, marvy circle, square and scalloped square, copics, stickles

Post-It holders CASED from Deena

Okie, I apologize for being MIA. The past few weeks have been mentally difficult. I won't get into it here. =)

Last weekend, we did a major cleaning of my grandma's house. Along with these post-its, I scored a brand new laminator and crockpot. My aunty is planning on selling some of the things to make money for her friend who has cancer. I told her I'd take the post-its, make something, and give them back to her to sell. I decided to make the post-it holders that Deena showcased in her blog. Here's the final products. I made about 15-16 of them, so I took one of each color and snapped a pic.

All supplies are PTI...
Card Deets:

Stamps: Dot Spot, Mega Mixed Messages
