Welcome to the Papertrey Paper Dolls first Blog Hop! Woo HOO! Since we are all OBSESSED with PTI products, the challenge was to use items that begin with P-T-I. What an interesting and brain busting challenge!
Before I get to my take on the card, we were asked share a little bit about ourselves. So, without delving into the realm of identity theft, here’s a little bit about me. I’m from Hawaii and lived here most of my life (was born in WA and went to college in CO!). By day, I’m an 8th grade English teacher, and there is NO JOB I’d rather do than that. Well, except maybe a makeup artist. =) I’m currently on “house arrest” because of a high risk pregnancy. It gets a little boring being at home all day alone, but I try to keep in mind that it’s for the best of reasons!
As for PTI…I’ve only been hooked for about a year. And I blame DEENA. She and I teach together and we live about 5 minutes apart, and it’s all her fault that I got into PTI. It all started with the cardstock. Once you go PTI…it’s so thick and the colors are so yummy. If I had to pick ONE fave color, it would have to be RazzFizz, but Hibiscus Burst is a close second.
Anyhoo, on to the card. Don’t forget to check out the other DOLLS and leave comments for your chance to win some FABU prizes!

That is such a sophisticated card! You did a great job with the challenge...I think the "I" will still count :) It was fun to read more about you in your bio, too.
Yes, it will all be worth the "house arrest" when that sweet little bundle is in your arms! But you do get to be creative and share your work with us. Your card is so very pretty and we have Deena to thank for getting you hooked!!
Love your black and white card. I really like how you used a green button.
This is so beautiful! Love how elegant it is! What a fun way to add a pop of color too but adding the button to the ribbon! Great idea!
Lovely card. Simple and understated.
Beautiful card! So elegent! I love the black and white with the pop of color from the button!
What a pretty card, that button looks like an emerald. How fun to have your Paper Dolls group.

Elegant is right. I love the simple sophistication of this card. And if you blame me for PTI, I blame you for Copics. ;)
Well, you and Deena do think alike, because you both used Pinefeather, which I just never think to go for - and now I see that I need to! Great job on the sympathy card - it strikes just the right note.
I didn't know you were pregnant - crazy! I just got put off work this week, which not what I had planned (figured I'd work up to the end again this time). Today I start work on the cards for your challenge ;)
This is beautiful...
and sympathy cards are so hard for me to do...
love this one.
Hope you're feeling well...
and take good care of the precious little one.
Bedrest is hard...been there...but so worth it when you get to hold those little bundles of joy!
So glad to be a Doll with you and get the chance to know you better!
This is so elegant! Just gorgeous! I do love that folder (and love that you cheated!) because it is so pretty!! Great job girl!
So very elegant and pretty.
Stunning and classy, Leish! Love the embossed background and beautiful sentiment.
Leish, I hope your house arrest goes by quickly for you. I will be thinking of you! Your card is so elegant - that IP is beautiful.
Such a pretty card Leish! Perfect touch of color with the PF button. Love the classic look you created here. I hope your pregnancy is going well. Once that keiki arrives you'll discover that that's the job you'd rather do above all else:)
Stunning! I really love this card and am having so much fun getting to know my fellow *dolls* :-). I was on bedrest for 2 months with my son and then he was a preemie. It IS worth it! Then, bedrest AGAIN with my dd. My dh and I agree- no more kids :-)... pregnancy and I don't agree, lol.
Wow! This card is gorgeous! I always have a hard time balancing black and white cards, but you rocked it! So lucky that you and Deena get to work and play together. As boring as "house arrest" may be, enjoy it while it lasts! There won't be much down time once the little one comes, but it'll all be worth it. So nice to learn more about it. I love the personality you bring to your posts.
Subtle and elegant, LOVE this!!
Very elegant. Great job!
Beautiful card! PTI is soooo addictive! Their cardstock is second to none. :)
Beautiful, I like the elegant look. Great job!!
Beautiful card. Love yhe white with black.
Wow!! This is the PEEFECT sympathy card! Simple and elegant! Love it!
Your sympathy card is so rich looking with the black & white and the Pinefeather button shining so brightly. Great comforting card. Rest and relax while you wait for your little one's arrival.
Oh my, these are absolutely stunning--all of the creations that I am seeing on your blogs. I just discovered the Paper Dolls and am so excited that I have added all of you to my favorites for inspiration. Thank you!
Hi Leish! How fun to live so close to a fellow "doll" and have someone that loves PTI as much as you! My friends are Laurie and Jen and they are about 2 1/2 hrs away so we don't get to see each other very often. :( Your card is so beautiful...CAS with all the white embossed paper with the pop of color with the pinefeather button! You did something that I never do....finish the inside. Even if it's just a sentiment....I don't do it. Have a great weekend!
Your card is very elegant.
Such a simple, elegant sympathy card. i am sooo CASEing it!!
Hugs, Ree
Leish, what an elegant, lovely card! Sympathy cards can be a challenge, and you've made a really lovely one. How cool that you & Deena work together IRL, and can further fuel your PTI obsession, LOL! Congrats on your baby-to-be! :-D
Love the pop of green and I really like that embossing folder!
how stunning! I love it !
i too am obsessed with pti products..i have no one to blame but my self tho haha
It is hard to believe a single button can make such a big difference in a card. That Pinefeather button was genius! It was such an elegant touch. Great job on the card. I was surprised that I now know of at least 4 people from Hawaii who are PTI addicts. I don't even know 4 people from my state of CA who are in love with this wonderful company.
This is so elegant!
