Here's my take on the newest Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge ...I really enjoyed this one, I'm gonna try to come up with different ones, since we all need some gc holder cards in our stash!
I needed to make a birthday card for a friend at work who teases me about the way I say 'skull', so naturally, I found all the skull things I had. I know the colors are off, had a hard time finding something to pair with that brown and gold paper.

Ink: Mediterranean Blue (Tsukineko)
Paper: stampers select white, hawaiian shores (PTI), printed paper (unknown),

running on empty...
We're winding down the school year, and I have zero mojo right now! I have to make a confession here. I really really really didn't want to teach 8th grade this year. I'm a 7th grade teacher all the way! But, I've had some great kids this year, and I'm going to miss them!
So, excuses aside...I promise to create and post soon! Until then, happy crafting!

Yakudoshi Birthday Card
Here's the birthday card I made using Argyle for the first time! Fun, but it's super nerve-wracking trying to make those diamonds match up! I suck at it, so I covered it with nice, poofy clouds! LOL. I put glitteries on the clouds because...well, every cloud has a silver lining. (insert groan here)

Missing You...
I'm really happy with the way this one turned out! I initially wanted this one to work with the Paperdolls Sketch, but I didn't have enough space. I've been wanting to play around with a filmstrip and some anyas. Fun, fun, fun! Oh, and big thanks to my hubby who helped me cut paper, punch holes, and offered stamping suggestions!

school swap round two
The theme for this card swap was "birthday" for any age group or gender. I decided to make a kids' card using The Greeting Farm "Wild Things" stamps. Aren't they adorable?! Realizing that I had to color and cut 40 images was NOT SO ADORABLE! LOL. On the inside, the monkey swings. On one side is the monkey and on the flip side of the circle it says, "You look like a monkey." I don't know how happy I am with this card yet...I got kind of lazy after coloring and cutting those images! LOL.
Card Deets:
Stamps: Wild Things (TGF)
Ink: Black Tuxedo (memento)
Paper: Dahlia and Lemonlime (Creations Unlimited), Hawaiian Shores and Stamper's Select White (PTI), patterned paper (best creations)
Other: Copics, brads, embroidery threads

PPD Challenge #2
Sooo, this past week I collected 2 career research papers per student. And, since it's crunch time I promised myself that I would get it all graded this weekend. I had roughly 180 2-page papers to grade! On Friday, I spent about 5 good hours sitting in the mall grading those stinkin' papers. Why the mall? Well, that way I'd have no computer, no tv, no crafting things, no other distractions! I graded the AVID papers (40+ papers) and 2 classes worth of research papers. Then on Saturday, the hubby and I plopped ourselves at the Starbucks, and I finished one more class. Finally, I finished the last class today! WOOT! Saturday night, I finished the 8 swap cards that's due on Monday. I'll post that later. FINALLY I got to play around with this awesome PaperDolls sketch!
Here's my take. I was laughing when I made this. I wanted to make a black and white card (which is kinda opposite for me) and Deena used a TON of color! Role reversal! LOL!
Card Deets:
Stamps: Butterfly Dreams (PTI)
Ink: Fresh Snow (PTI)
Paper: Kraft, Pure Poppy, Smokey Shadow (PTI), printed papers (unknown)
Other: Butterfly Die (PTI), Marvy butterfly punch, rhinestones, paper flowers
